INTERCULTURE ORGANIZATION (ICO) is a non-profit organization which was established in 1999 in Curacao. Since then the organization has been giving groups of students from different countries and cultures the opportunity to interact with each other.
ICO's objective is to promote the study and celebration of the cultures and languages of the world, to encourage cultural interaction, expose students to foreign languages and promote diversity, enabling students to interact with their peers from around the world. It also aims at introducing students to the many cultures, languages and diversity around the world, helping to raise cultural awareness and promote diversity within schools locally and internationally.
If you would you like to experience this multicultural and multilingual island where Dutch is the official language, English, Spanish and French are widely spoken but Papiamentu, the native language, is spoken and/or understood by almost everyone, contact us here.
